Master your visual-motor coordination and anticipatory timing with ReflexLab.
Precision timing (or visual-motor coordination) is the ability of your brain to coordinate visual input with physical movement. Unlike a simple reaction test where you respond to a sudden stimulus, a precision timing test requires you to predict and synchronize your action with a moving target.
This skill is critical in sports, driving, and gaming. It engages your visual working memory (holding the target size in mind) and your motion tracking systems to execute a motor command at the exact millisecond of overlap.
ReflexLab's Phantom Ring mode is a specialized precision test. A target ring briefly flashes on the screen to establish the goal. After it disappears, an expanding ring grows from the center. You must tap exactly when the expanding ring reaches the size of the target.
Your performance is measured by your average "error" in pixels (px). A lower error score indicates higher precision and better anticipatory control. See the full Phantom Ring details for more.
ReflexLab rates your coordination across 5 precision tiers based on your average pixel error across 5 rounds.
